If you are reading this, you may be ready to take the first step toward healing. Whether you are facing a major challenge or simply need someone to talk with, choosing the right therapist matters. This is an important decision, and I am honored that you are considering me to walk alongside you.

From the very beginning, building a strong therapeutic relationship is essential. My goal is to create a space where you feel heard, validated, and safe enough to share what is weighing on your heart. At the same time, therapy is not about simply agreeing with you. A good therapist supports you, but also challenges and encourages you to grow. Healing takes courage, and it is real work.

My Background

I am Dr. Angela M. Doyle, a Psychotherapist, Pastoral Counselor, and Consultant. I hold a bachelor's degree in psychology, a master's degree in clinical mental health and pastoral counseling, and a Ph.D. in clinical counseling, education, and supervision, with spiritual and pastoral integration. My dissertation focused on telemental health, so I am confident that online, distance, and virtual counseling can be effective and meaningful.

I believe healing often begins when a person finally feels heard. My approach is holistic, integrative, and eclectic, which means I do not use a one-size-fits-all method. I tailor each treatment plan to fit your unique needs, goals, and circumstances.

I specialize in mental health and substance use concerns. I view addiction as a symptom of deeper pain that is often being self-medicated, including anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, and loss. My work focuses on addressing the root causes, not just the surface behaviors.

My Therapeutic Approach

My orientation is psychodynamic, which means many of our struggles are rooted in experiences and patterns we may not fully understand. Sometimes we think, feel, and act in ways that feel confusing, even to ourselves.

I believe childhood forms the foundation of who we become. When that foundation has been shaken or wounded, support and guidance can help you rebuild, heal, and move toward your full potential.

In my practice, I often use inner child work, journaling, challenging faulty thinking, facing fears, meditation, and positive affirmations. I believe the answers you need are already within you. My role is to help you uncover them with compassion, clarity, and care.
